#UAAPLXXIX Day 9: La Salle Clobber Adamson, Asistio Fly High As Ateneo Outlast Win less Maroons.


The De La Salle Green Archers tyrannized their opponents again after clobbering the young Adamson Falcons in their game that ended 91-75. 
Opening the game, La Salle had a good start though the Falcons were able to keep the game close at 22-17 at the end of the opening period. The Green Archers were able to extend their lead up to a 49-34 lead at the end of the first half. 
Entering the second half, the Falcons tried to stop the runs of La Salle, but they weren't able to match the strength of the Green Archers specially inside the paint as they go down 52-66 at the end of the third. 
In the final period La Salle pushed their lead up to 19, their highest lead in the game that kept the Adamson at bay, struggling to catch up with the game of the Green Archers. 
The Green Archers showed solid defense and unstoppable offense having a total of 54 rebounds against the 32 of the Falcons,
Ben Mbala powered the Green Archers again having 21 points and 16 rebounds, Jeron Teng added 15 points, while Aljun Melecio had a collegiate career high 13 points. 
Jerrick Ahanmisi had another impressive game leading the Falcons with 22 points in losing efforts. Robbie Manalang added 15 points, while Pape Sarr had 14 points and 15 rebound.

The Ateneo Blue Eagles avoided a collapse as they were able to survive the runs of the UE Red Warriors to take an 84-69 victory. 
The Blue Eagles were off to a hot 16-2 start to open the first quarter, the struggling Red Warriors couldn't do anything with as they ended the opening period down 20-9. 
But going into the second period the Red Warriors were able to came back to life to turn things around having their own series of runs to take a 23-10 output in the second period to end the first half up 32-30. 
In the second half, the Blue Eagles regained their composure as they were able to outperform the Red Warriors in the third period, taking a 28-14 production to retake the lead at 58-46.

In the final period the Red Warriors had a hard time to catch up with the Blue Eagles, though they were able to almost equalize the production of Ateneo, still UE fall short in making a comeback.

A Blue Eagle in Anton Asistio finally learned to take off as he led his squad with 21 points, John Wong added  17 points, while Mike Nieto and Chibueze Ikeh added 11 points each.

Alvin Pasaol led all the scorers with 22 points, Edson Batiller had 11 points for the Red Warriors as they go on a 0-5 romp.
