#UAAPLXXIX Day 6: UST Repulse Struggling Maroons, Adamson Upset The Blue Eagles.

After a lackluster game against La Salle, the  University of Santo Tomas growls back as they send the Struggling Maroons of UP down 83-77. The Tigers had a strong 13-6 lead in the opening quarter, though UP were able to play catch up in the second period to tie the ball game at 34 to end the first half. 

Entering the third period UP was able to get a taste of the lead 39-37, though it didn't last that long as UST ends the period up 59-53. In the final period the UP tried to keep the close, but the Tigers were able to pull some shots in  to take a more comfortable 79-71 lead entering the last two minutes of the match.   

Louie Vigil finally had his breakout game having 18 points, 6 rebounds, and 7 assists, Regie basibas and Oliver De Guzman both had 11 points, while Kent Lao and Renzo Subido contributed 10 points each. 

On the side of the Jett Manuel led the scoring for the Maroons with 19 points, while Diego Dario added 14 points. Meanwhile rookie Javie Gomez de Liano shows that he is a one of the rookie to watch for as he scored 10 of his 12 points in the second half.

Dawn Ochea hasn't made his presence felt in their past three games, but going to their game against Ateneo the quiet leader of the Soaring Falcons delivered a game winner to pull his team to a 62-61 victory. 

The Falcons soared high early in the game taking a 21-15 lead to end the first period, they were able to extend their lead up 28-22 but the Blue Eagles were able to make a 9-2 run to take the lead at 32-30 though the first half ended tied at 35. 

Ateneo grabbed the lead early in the third period, taking a 48-41 lead early in the quarter, extending it to a 56-46 lead at the end of the third, but entering the final period Ateneo started to collapse as they struggled to put up basket only scoring 5 points in 10 minutes, giving an open opportunity for Adamson to close in at 60-61 with a few ticks away. 

Robbie Manalang top scored for the Soaring Falcons with 15 points, while Jerrick Ahanmisi and Papi Sarr had 13 points respectively. On the side of the Blue Eagles, Anton Assistio was the only player to score in double figures with 12 points.
