#NCAA92 Juniors: 9/8/16

The LSGH Greenies solidifies their return into the final four after dispatching the very dangerous Lyceum Junior Pirates 85-72. It was a head on game as both squad are vying for the last spot in the final four, the game went tight for both squad in the first period with the Greenies taking an early 23-19 lead. In the second period Lyceum were able to match the output of the Greenies to end the first half 38-34.

In the second half, the Junior Pirates were able to outperform the Greenies in the third period giving them the taste of the lead again 59-58. Going to the final period the Greenies erupted to outlast the Junior Pirates as they go on a scoring romp 27-13.

Unique Naboa led the Greenies with 25 poin ts, followed by Joel Cagulangan and Troy Mallillin with 16 and 14 points respectively, while Mclaude Guadana, Keith Manuel, and Marj De Leon all scored 12 points for the Junior Pirates

The San Beda Red Cubs strengthen their hold on the top spot of the Juniors Basketball of the 92nd season of the NCAA after they disposed the Letran Squires 96-83.

The Red Cubs were off to a hot start as they started the game with a commanding 27-13 lead in the opening period, though in the second period the Squires were able to bounce back as they were able to almost equalize the output of the Red Cubs at 25-26 to end the first half 38-53.

San Beda continues to maintain their lead entering the second half, finishing the third period still up 71-57, though Letran were able to caught up with the shooting of San Beda they weren't able to get close to the Red Cubs.

Red Cubs Team Captain Sam Abuhujleh led his team in this win as he scored 22 points, while Joshua Tagala and and Carlo Obenza added 12 and 11 points each. Kurt Reyson on the side of Letran scored 20 points leading the scoring for his team, Neil Guarino and Miguel Labrador added 17 and 13 points respectively.
