The Ateneo Blue Eagles streak past their Katipunan neighbors, UP Maroons after a 79-64 victory. Even though the Maroons were able to start the game fighting, taking a 17-13 lead in the first period, but UP still couldn't maintain the level of their game as they went to the second period the Blue Eagles took over the lead and began to pull away, taking a 38-29 lead to end the second period.
Ateneo continues to dominate UP in the second half, keeping their lead up by as much as 10 points , the Maroons were able to gain momentum at the end part of the third period to cut the deficit down by just 6, 58-52.
Going to the final period the Maroons kept on chasing down the lead of Ateneo, but to no avail still the Blue Eagles were able to secure their lead and even extending it as high as 77-60 to keep the win on their side.
Thirdy Ravena led the Blue Eagles again with 22 points and 10 rebounds, Chibuezeh Ikeh and Anton Asistio added 14 and 10 points respectively. On the side of the Maroons, Paul Desiderio had 25 big points to lead UP in losing efforts, while Jett Manuel added 17 points.

The De La Salle Green Archers stays undefeated after escaping past the gritty UE Red Warriors in a 84-79 ball game, that had their head coach Aldin Ayo ejected early in the second quarter for mocking a referee by chasing it and asked it to wear a pair of glasses.
The flexed their muscles early in the opening period, showing an early dominance against the young UE squad as they take an early 25-15 lead. going to the second period La Salle still in control of the game extends their lead up to a 31-15 lead, but slowly as the quarter progresses the Red Warriors were able to catch up with the game of the guys in green, though the still ended the third period down 30-44.
In the second half the Red Warriors continues to chase the Green Archers, cutting the lead down to 39-46, but La Salle was able to recover quickly to keep UE at bay 62-55 at the end of the third/
The Red Warriors continues to rally behind La Salle as they again started to get strings of unanswered points to cut the lead of the Green Archers down 78-81 with few ticks remaining in the game, but still La Salle gets the breaks of the game to take home the win.
Ben Mbala had a solid game, having 19 points and 17 rebounds for La Salle. While rookie Juztine Baltazar added 14 points and 9 rebounds, Prince Rivero added 11 points and 8 rebounds to go 6-0. Alvin Pasaol on the other side of UE had 22 points, while Edson Batiller added 13 points.
