We got another pageant King as our Guy for this month, he was placed as Misters of Filipinas Lipa-Mister Barako. Say hello to Marcuz Wayne Acar.
21-year-old Marcuz is a working student who hails from Lipa City in Batangas, he is currently a third year student in Lipa City Colleges taking up Business Administration, he is now working as a financial advisor for an insurance company.
Marcuz admits that he felt before that his younger self was pointless and that he doesn’t know what purpose he has in life, but when the pandemic hits, Marcuz realizes that he should work on himself to be a better, from there he started to work on his body, he started reading books to also enrich his knowledge, and he started to work as well.
Blessed with good looks and body, Marcuz also tried out pageantry. His first pageant was in his first job in a call center last year and from there he developed the interest in joining pageantry as he felt like it was a great way to develop himself and to establish more connections.
He then joined Misters of Filipinas Lipa, although he didn’t get the top crown and the chance to represent Lipa in the 10th Misters of Filipinas,
Marcuz is all set to compete in the Lakan ng Turismo Pilipinas 2023 that is happening on October 14 in Bulacan.
What’s your favorite part of a pageant?
“Yung swimwear po haha, eh kasi para po sa akin nung gabing yun confident po talaga ko sa katawan ko kasi sobra ko din naman yun pinag hirapan, kasi po nung last pageant ko po swimwear din po yung pinaka favorite ko kasi nagbest in swimwear din ako dun, tapos sa Misters of Filipinas ganun din, talagang inaim ko na makuha ko yung Best in Swimwear and ayun binigay naman ni Lord, basta pinaghihirapan.”
How do you take care of your body?
“Pinaka important po jan para sa akin bukod po sa pag wowork out is yung nutrition, so shout out ko lang po yung coach ko, si Coach Rad Ivan Dalangin, sya po yung tumulong sa akin sa fitness journey ko, tinuruan nya po ako ng mga tamang work out, and most important po sa nutrition, sa pagdadiet.”
Do you follow any workout routines? What are your favorite and least favorite workouts?
“Para sa akin po ang pinaka favorite ko ay deadlift po tsaka squats, least favorite ay calves, ang liit ng calves ko eh so weakness ko sya, kaya kailangan sa pageant maganda na to haha.”
Next is Diet, what are the foods that you take and you avoid?
So sa diet po basic lang, ang ginawa ko po nun ay boiled eggs, tatlo, tsaka tuna yung nasa de lata mataas kasi sa protein yun aalisin ko lang yung oil nya para mabawasan yung fats. Tapos ang pinaka iniiwasan ko ay softdrinks, di ako nagsosoftdrinks.
Do you have any particular skin care routine?
“Ligo lang po hahaha, dito kasi sa amin sa Lipa mainit eh so sa isang araw madalas nakakatatlong ligo ako, di ako sanay nang halimbawa lumabas ako hindi ako sanay na matutulog ako na malagkit, so yun para sa akin maligo lang talaga.”
Favorite part of your body?
“Ang favorite part ay chest.”
Part of your body that needs improvement?
“I think abs, kulang pa sa abs gusto ko kasi mas defined sya so kailangan ko mag focus sa diet.”
Single or Taken?
“Taken po haha, more than one year na po.”
How would you describe yourself as a partner?
“Marespeto, Provider, Protector, I think yun lang.”
What turns you on and what turns you off?
“ Natuturn on po ako sa talino ng babae, turn off kapag walang respeto.”
When do you feel sexy?
“ Kapag nagwoworkout, pag nasa gym.”
Biggest misconception about you?
“Akala po nila matangkad ako hahaha”
How would you describe a typical day for you?
“Morning person po ako, pagkagising ko ang ginagawa ko is mag stretching usually by doing yoga, then after mag yoga magtitimpla ko ng tsaa pag wala namang tsaa ang ginagawa ko lemon lang pinipigaan ko yung tubig tapos yun na yung iinumin ko.
Tapos after nun kakain ako ng breakfast tapos maliligo tapos diretso sa gym tapos pag uwi maliligo uli, kapag may pasok diretso school or gagawa ako ng something productive na related sa work ko as financial advisor, kakain ng lunch.
And then sa gabi, dinner, tapos bago mag sleep madalas nagiistretch din ako tapos matutulog na.“
How do you see yourself 5 to 10 years from now?
Nakikita ko po ang sarili ko 5 years or 10 years from now na may business na naitayo, yun lang di ko pa alam kung anong business yun pero sana, tapos maganda yung cash flow and healthy ang relationship ko sa mga nakapaligid sa akin.
