Visayas sends 13 young ballers to the Jr. NBA Philippines 2019 National Training Camp



Seven boys and six girls topped the Regional Selection Camp of Jr. NBA Philippines 2019 presented by Alaska held at St. Louis of Don Bosco in Dumaguete City on March 30-31.  The 13 young basketball players will represent Visayas at the National Training Camp in Metro Manila on May 17-19.  

Dumaguete hosted the league’s youth basketball participation program for the first time, providing campers with world-class basketball instruction from Jr. NBA coaches led by Jr. NBA Coach Rob Newson and former PBA players Tony Dela Cruz and Willie Miller.  The selected athletes excelled in a combination of basketball activities and competition and demonstrated the core values of the game throughout the camp. 

The Visayan contingent of Jr. NBA campers will join outstanding players from the Regional Selection Camps in Benguet, Butuan, Lucena, and Metro Manila, and a select group from the Alaska Power Camp at the National Training Camp to vie to be named as Jr. NBA Philippines All-Star.

New this year, Jr. NBA Philippines All-Stars—comprised of as many as five boys and five girls—will join the first Jr. NBA Global Championship Asia Pacific Selection Camp, a week-long camp in June that includes top youth players from the Asia-Pacific region excluding China.

In addition, the Asia-Pacific regional competition will send the 2019 batch of Jr. NBA All-Stars to represent the region at the Jr. NBA Global Championship on Aug. 6-11 at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World near Orlando, Florida.  The international event will showcase talented youth from the United States, Canada, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, China, Mexico, Africa, India and the Asia-Pacific.

Boys and girls aged 10-14 years old can still join the remaining Jr. NBA Philippines Regional Selection Camps in Butuan (April 13-14) and Metro Manila (April 27-28) by registering at www.jrnba.asia/philippines. 

Jr. NBA Philippines 2019 is presented by Alaska, with AXA, Gatorade, Globe, Panasonic, Rexona and Vivo as official partners. ABS-CBN S+A, Basketball TV and NBA Premium TV are the official broadcasters of Jr. NBA Philippines.

Madame Tussaud's Finally Unveiled Pia Wurtzbach's Wax Figure




The wax figure of Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach was finally unveiled, in a press presentation held in a hotel in Mandaluyong City, the wax figure reminisced the finally walk look of Pia and the immortalized scene was her crowning the new Miss Universe. 



The wax figure was undeniably a perfect copy of Pia, from the eyes, lips, nose, the cheeks, even the way Pia smiled was copied and up to the hairline down to the last detail was done in perfection. Also the Pia wax figure wears a replica version of the Cobalt Blue Gown made by Michael Cinco. 

"I was commissioned by Madam Tussaud’s London to create a replica of the same gown she wore when she relinquished her crown in 2016...It took me 200 hours to finish the couture gown with their size and design specifications, less volume no train and less cleavage all made by skilled M5 artisan hands.. " Cinco said on his Instagram account
Meanwhile, yesterday (March 29, Friday) Pia's fans gets the chance to meet Pia and the wax figure at a travel convention in a mall in Mandaluyong City as well, tirelessly Pia made sure that every Pianatic and even those who dropped by get the chance to take a picture with her along with the wax copy, the display went for only one day as the wax figure was already flown to Hongkong for the official displaying at the Madame Tussaud's there. 

Pia Wurtzbach is the first Filipino to have a wax figure at the Madame Tussauds, get to meet the wax starting this April only at Madame Tussauds in Hongkong.

Another Game Changer As Huawei Announced P30 Pro



Huawei continues to change the flow of camera smartphones, after the their well received Huawei P20 and Mate 20 Pros last year that literally changed the game of mobile photography here comes another game changer in the P30 Pro.

#PPP2019 Announces First Three Movies




The Film Development Council of the Philippines has announced the first three entries for this year's Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino in September, the first three movie were Cuddle Weather from Project 8 corner San Joaquin Projects, LSS from Globe Studios headlined by real life couple Gabby Garcia and Khalil Ramos, and the Panti Sisters starring Paolo Ballesteros, Martin Del Rosario and Christian Bables.

MØ Forever Neverland Asia Tour CANCELLED



Insignia Presents regrets to inform you that MØ's Forever Neverland Asia Tour with stops in Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Manila, Taipei, Tokyo and Seoul has been officially cancelled.

MØ’s concert in Manila at the New Frontier Theater scheduled on April 15 will not push through. MØ was advised by her doctors to cancel her Asia tour. We wish her all the best and we pray for her speedy recovery.

The Forgiven

David Licauco and Shaira Diaz stars in GMA Public Affairs newest digital series "One Hugot Away"




When it comes to "Hugot" Filipinos are known to have lots of it, whether in love or anything and everything under the sun, that's why GMA Public Arrairs is up with another very relatable project called "One Hugot Away". 

What is this project all about?

Well "One Hugot Away" is a short film that can be viewed over GMA Network's Facebook and Youtube account. So here's the catch about this project, One Hugot Away's snippets will also be available on GMA 7, the first one is during the commercial break of Kapuso Movie Festival in the Morning, the second is during Wowowin's gap in the afternoon, and the last one is on Primetime during My Golden Life.

The first movie is top billed by GMA's rising leading man, David Licauco and newest sweetheart Shaira Diaz entitled "Walang Label", directed Zig Dulay. The first movie premieres on Monday, March 25. 


"Walang Label" tackles the story of Ella (Shaira) and Ben (David) who were both sales agents. The two were so close to each other that Ella got confused about what is the status of her relationship with Ben. 

Ella sometimes feels that she and Ben are more than friends, although sometimes Ben doesn't show anything to her that gets her more confused with her feelings to him that it came to the point where Ella decided to confront Ben about their relationship, but she's afraid of what Ben's reaction will be. 

Will Ella and Ben's Story gets the right label before its too late?

Limited Seats Are Up For Grab For LAUV in Manila



Fast-rising synth-pop artist and producer Lauv, who recently sold out the Manila leg of his 2019 Asia Tour, has officially announced that due to insistent public demand, a new Upper Box section with limited seats will be added to his much anticipated live concert on May 20 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
This will be Lauv’s third and biggest show in the Philippines to date, following a mall tour series back in 2017 and a music festival performance in 2018.
Produced by AEG Presents and Ovation Productions, general on-sale of the newly opened Upper Box section starts March 25, while few more tickets to the previously announced Cebu show on May 20 at Waterfront Hotel Cebu City are still available.
In January, Lauv surprised fans with the release of brand new single “i’m so tired” with Troye Sivan.
