The University of Perpetual Help System Delta Altas was all business in their game against the College of Saint Benilde Blazers as the Altas easily handed the Blazers a huge 70-47 loss in the first game of the Friday triple of the 91st season of the NCAA at the Arena in San Juan.
Perpetual Help started the game on fire as they outscore CSB 21-11 at the end of the first period, the second quarter became more unfortunate for the Blazers as they were only able to score 9 points to end the second half with the Altas holding a huge 40-19 lead.
Entering the second half the Perps were able to maintain a double digit lead even with a huge surge by Saint Benilde to close in at 51-35 at the end of the third period, in the early part of the last period CSB were able to trim down the lead of the Altas into single digit margin at 58-46 with 3 minutes left, but that was the closest the Blazers reached as the Perps made a 12-1 run to win the game.
Earl Thompson again showcased another MVP performance as he scored another triple double outing of 21 points, 10 assists and 10 rebounds, meanwhile on the other side Jonathan Grey and Jay Jay Domingo combined 26 points for the Blazers in losing efforts.

In the second game the Mapua Cardinals extends their winning streak to six as they upset the Arellano University Chiefs 81-76 to tie at number four.
It was a good start for the Mapua in the first period as they were able to lead the Chiefs at 23-20 to break the close first quarter action, but in the second quarter Jovanie Jalalon starts the engine for Arellano as they began to pull away late in the second quarter to end the first half at 33-43.
The run continues for the Chiefs in the third quarter, keeping Mapua behind 54-62, in the fourth quarter the Cardinals started to play catch up as they were able to make a 14-4 to tie the ball game at 66-all with less the six minutes left in the game, at that point momentum shifted to Mapua as the Chiefs ran out of gas as the Cardinals takes away the victory.
Exeqiel Biteng led the Cardinals in their sixth straight victory producing 15 points, meanwhile, Michael Salado led the Chiefs with 17 points, as they fall to fourth tied with Mapua in the standings.

In the main match of the Friday triple header the Jose Rizal University Heavy Bombers detonates a huge bomb to stun the league leading Letran Knights 86-80
The Heavy Bombers open the match with a huge 25-15 lead over Letran at the end of the first quarter, though the second quarter was a close one, still Letran hasn't found a solution to the streaking Paolo Pontejos as he kept the fire burning for JRU as they end the first half 48-40.
Entering the second half Letran started a run as they were able to make a 2-7 run to trim the lead to 50-47 with 6 minutes left in the game, they were able to tie the game at 62-all after a three by Kevin Racal with a few seconds left in the game, but the run of the Knights wasn't able to snatch the lead from JRU as they were down 64-62 at the end of the third period.
In the fourth quarter again Paolo Pontejos is unstoppable as he scored 9 points in the quarter to carry the Heavy Bombers to keep their final four hopes alive. Pontejos scored 21 points to lead the surge of JRU to stay alive in the final four race, meanwhile Kevin Racal scored 23 points for Letran in losing efforts as the Knights dropped to number 2.
