#NCAA91 Day 24: Arellano Escapes An Almost Upset, Perpetual Help Bounces Back.

In thefirst game of the tuesday double header, the Arellano Chiefs held off the streaking CSB Blazers 86-82 to avoid another upset.

Though the Blazers were able to capitalize on the slow start of Arellano in the first half, the Chiefs were able to snatch a single point advantage entering the second half at 38-37, In the third quarter CSB's Fonso Saavedra and the rest of the Blazers showed that they want to win the game getting as high as a 9 point advantage against Arellano.

In the fourth period its Arellano's veterans that showed up turning the table around after a 15-5 run the Chiefs now leads the Blazers 70-65 with 5 minutes more left in the final period, The Blazers were able to get close, but Allen Enriquez and Jovanie Jalalon sealed the 7th win of the Arellano Chiefs after 11 games, while the CSB Blazers dropped their 9th game out of 11.

Jiovani Jalalon and Dioncee Holts both scored 15 points, while Allen Enriquez added 14. On the other side the returning Jonathan Grey spearheaded the offense of the Blazers pouring in 22 points, adding to that is Jayjay Domingo's 16 points.

In the second game the Perpetual Help  Altas easily dispatches the Lyceum Pirates 70-42, Scottie Thompson's triple double performance carried the Altas in this win giving out 13 points, 10 assist and 12 rebounds.

The Perps looking very determined to bounce back after their loss against the Mapua Cardinals last week dominated Lyceum in the whole game, leading by as much as 20 points at the end of the first half and only letting the pirates scored 7 points in the fourth quarter.

Aside from Scottie Thompson, Prince Eze also lead the Perps in this win top scoring with 18 points and 19 rebounds. On the other side Jebb Bulawan led the scoring for the Pirates with 13 points.
