#NCAA91 Day 29: JRU Ends Losing Skid, Mapua Gets Fourth Straight Win, and Arellano Takes Back The Third Spot

In the first game of the Friday triple header of NCAA season 91, the JRU Heavy Bombers finally were able to end their 2 game losing streak after a huge 87-64 win over the EAC Generals.

The Heavy Bombers dropped a huge 25-7 first quarter bomb to completely dominate the hapless Generals in this game, even with Sydney Onwubere's 21 point performance wasn't able to trim down the lead of JRU to a single digit deficit in the whole game, as four Heavy Bombers scored in double digit that was led by Paolo Pontejos with 21 points. 

With this win the JRU Heavy Bombers now has a 7-6 record to rank 6th in the standings, meanwhile the EAC Generals dropped their 11th game to put them at the bottom of the standings with an 2-11 record.

In the second game, the Mapua Cardinal extends their winning streak to four as they beat the Lyceum of the Philippines Pirates 70-66. 

It was a dominant start for the Cardinals as they were able to outscore the Pirates in the first quarter 25-12. Mapua easily trumps Lyceum in the second and third quarter as they were able to defend well the scorers of their opponent as well as keeping their scoring machines like Justin Serrano works to keep their lead in double digit. 

In the fourth quarter Mapua Head Coach Atoy Co got kicked out of the playing court as he kept on complaining a foul called against Oraeme, at this point Lyceum were able to closed in at 67-64 with less than 3 minutes remaining in the game, but CJ Isit were able to shoot down a three to ice the win for the Cardinals. 

Justin Serrano top scored for the Cardiinals as he scored 15 points to keep Mapua's quest to the final four alive, meanwhile Joseph Gabayni scored 21 points for the Lyceum as they bowed out of the final four contentions.

In the main game of the Friday triple header the Arellano University Chiefs solidify their hold to the third spot after defeating the san Sebastian Stags 86-76. 

The first three quarters went close between the two squads even with Arellano has more runs San Sebastian didn't let them pull away even exchanging leads in the third quarter before the Chiefs three point shooting paved the way for them to pull away late in the fourth quarter. 

Jovanie Jalalon powers the Chiefs with a triple double performance of 18 points, 10 rebounds, and 17 assists to overcome the challenge that the Stags are giving them, meanwhile Bradwyn Guinto scores a double double performance of 19 points and 15 rebounds as San Sebastian exits the final four race.
