The Ateneo Blue Eagles successfully snaps their two game losing skid as they beat out the Adamson Soaring Falcons 87-72 at the Mall of Asia Arena last Saturday.
Ateneo had a hard time escaping Adamson early in the game as both squad are really determined to nap their losing skid, still the Blue Eagles were able to get a 22-19 lead at the end of the first.
Entering the second period the Falcons soars high as they were able to take the lead 24-26 with 8 minutes left in the game, at that point it was a tit for tat game for both squads as they began to exchange the lead, but Ateneo were able to made a run to pull away to end the first half 50-41.
Second half gets worst for the Falcons as Ateneo starts to pull away sending them crashing down 79-58 at the end of the third period. In the fourth period Adamson though they made an 8-0 run against the Blue Eagles early in the fourth period to closed in at 79-66, momentum is still with Ateneo as they were able to keep the Falcons down at the bottom of the standing.
Kiefer Ravena and Von Pessumal scored a combined 37 points for the Blue Eagles in this game, meanwhile Pape Sarr and JD Tungcab combined 28 points for the Falcons.

In the second game, UST avenges their only loss in this season against NU after beating them 65-57.
The defending champs started the game strong leading UST 13-7 early in the game, but the Growling Tigers slowly but surely erased the lead of NU to take a 20-14 advantage at the end of the first, UST's shooting heats up in the second quarter giving the Bulldogs a hard time to catch up ending the first half 35-23.
UST just showing dominance in the game as they continue to lead the defending champions at the end of the third period 51-40. In the fourth period NU tried to come back to life as they were able to trim the lead of the Tigers down to just 3 points 51-48 with 6 minutes left in the game and eventually taking over the lead 54-55, with less than four minutes remaining.
Though the last few ticks of the game was a close one it was the pesky defense of the Tigers paved the way for their win as they were able to force turnovers on the side of the Bulldogs for them to take a more comfortable lead.
Karim Abdul and Kevin Ferrer scored 13 points apiece, adding to that is Ed Daquioag's 10 points which all came in the second half. On the other side Gelo Alolino led the struggling NU Bulldogs with 20 points, NU is now down to a 3-6 record that is very dangerous as they still have to face La Salle, Ateneo, and FEU
