San Beda begins the game red hot with an early 6-0 lead at the start of the game, as the Knights struggles to score their first basket the red lions easily took the advantage as they end the first period 22-15. The second period was a low scoring one, allowing Letran to catch up with the Red Lions as they were able to score 15 points as compared to only 11 points for San Beda, the first half ended 33-30 still for the Red Lions.
In the second half the Knights were able to keep the game close, as they were slowly getting back to rhythm as they were able to answer the offense of San Beda, but still the breaks of the game always going the way of the Red Lions as they were able to keep the lead at the end of the third period 52-49 despite the runs made by Letran.
The fourth quarter was an intense one as the Knights were finally able to break in to take the lead 54-52, but San Beda quickly responded with a 11-3 run to take a 63-57 advantage over Letran with less than 6 minutes remaining in the game. Letran tried to make a comeback, but San Beda was just not into giving the title away without a fight.
San Beda found a new hero in Javee Mocon, the former Red Cub contributed 13 big points for the Red Lions to take the win, meanwhile Ola Adeogun top scored them 14 points. On the side of Letran, Mark Cruz carried them with 21 points.
