The UE Red Warriors finally snapped their losing skid at the expense of the UP Fighting Maroons 80-67.
Eager to snap of the slump they're in the Red Warriors opens the game red hot taking control of the game early in the opening quarter taking a 20-17 lead. Inside the second period UE unleashed a scoring storm against the Fighting Maroons, outscoring them 22-11 to push their lead up 42-24 at the end of the first half.
UP continues to struggle in the second half, as the red hot UE squad continues to pummel the Maroons in the third period, extending their lead up as high as 25 in the third period.
Entering the final period down 65-44, the Fighting Maroons tried to play catch up against UE as they tried to stage a comeback that didn't materialized even though they were able to outscore the Red Warriors 23-15.
Philip Manalang led the Red Warriors in this game, along with Emil Palma and Edson Battiller as they all scored 13 points respectively for UE, they will face the FEU Tamaraws this Wednesday before they end season 79.
Meanwhile, graduating Maroons Jett Manuel and Dave Moralde top scored for UP in losing efforts, having 13 points each.

The Adamson University Falcons soars to number three spot in the standings after dispatching the NU Bulldogs 77-53.
The game started tight between Adamson and NU, with the Falcons taking a slight 14-13 lead in the first period. But going to the second period the Bulldogs struggled to find their shooting as they were only able to score 6 points in the quarter, giving the Falcons the chance to soar high to end the first half 35-19.
Entering the second half the Bulldogs were able to comeback in the ball game, tying the quarter output of Adamson at 21 to end the third period down 40-56. In the final period the Falcons didn't let NU to gain any momentum as they pulled away immediately at the start of the final period to extend their lead up by as much as 30 points.
Papi Sarr had 22 points and 15 rebounds, while Jonathan Espeleta added 15 points for the Falcons, meanwhile Jjay Alejandro was the lone Bulldog to score in double digit, having 15 points.
