#MMFF2016 Sunday Beauty Queen

 

Sunday Beauty Queen is the first ever documentary drama to participate in the Metro Manila Film Festival, the documentary drama by Baby Ruth Villarama follows a group of OFW's in the journey to win the crown in their annual Sunday Beauty Pageant in Hongkong. The Docudrama tells the real story of OFW's particularly the Domestic Helpers and their hardships and triumphs in their work and family.

Beneath Hong kong's glittering facade, Filipinas working as domestic helpers work in relative anonymity and for near slave wages. In a beauty pageant like no other in the world, five helpers give themselves makeovers for a day and gleefully reclaim their dignity.  

Sunday Beauty Queen stars real life OFW Rudelie Acosta, Cherrie Bretana, Mylyn Jacobo, Hazel Perdido, and Leo Selomenia, produced by Voyage Studio. Coming this Christmas day.
