The San Beda Red Lions barged in to the finals after stopping the golden run of the San Sebastian Golden Stags 71-76. The Red Lions sets up their duel against the Lyceum of the Philippines University Pirates starting this Thursday at the Araneta Center in Cubao.
The Red Lions went on a scoring romp early in the game after taking an early 26-11 lead in the opening quarter, though going to the next quarters San Sebastian was able to slowly erased the lead that San Beda installed at the start of the game, but still the Red Lions were able to held on with what's left in their lead from the opening quarter to close out the game.
Javee Mocon led the roar of the Red Lions after he produced a monsterous performance of 23 points and 22 rebounds, Robert Bolick added 21 points, while Donald Tankoua had 13 points and 11 rebounds.
Jason David and Ryan Costelo teamed up for the Stags with 16 and 15 points respectively, Michael Calisaan had 10 points.
