Karen Ibasco bagged the fourth Miss Earth Crown for the Philippines after she bested 85 other warriors of the Earth at the coronation night held at the Mall of Asia Arena. The 26 year old Applied Physics degree and masters holder bested early favorites like Thailand, Puerto Rico, and Venezuela after to barged into the final four along with Miss Colombia, Russia, and Australia,
Her final answer to the question "Who or What do you think is the biggest enemy of Mother Earth and Why?" was the best answer amongst the four of them stating that "The real problem is our Ignorance and apathy. We need to start changing our ways."
Miss Australia Nina Robertson also a half Filipina placed as Miss Earth Air, Colombia's Juliana Franco finished as Miss Earth Water, and Lada Akimova of Russia bagged the Miss Earth Fire crown.
Part of the Top 8 were Czech Republic's Iva Uchytilova, Netherland's Faith Landman, and the Top 2 early favorites according to the pageant fans, Miss Venezuela Ninoska Vasquez and Miss Thailand Paweensuda Drouin.
