Beginning November 27, GMA Network proudly introduces its newest primetime drama series Kambal, Karibal, a riveting tale of family and love that also transcends into the supernatural realm.
It tells the story of twins Crisanta and Criselda. Unfortunately, Criselda dies because of a rare disease and remains a spirit that only appears to Crisanta. However, their close bond will start to fall apart when they both fall in love with Diego. The rivalry between them builds up when their mother’s affections are focused on Crisanta. Eventually, Criselda’s emotions finally consume her and her soul finds another person’s body to inhabit. Now that she is “alive”, she is stopping at nothing to take both her mother’s affection and Diego’s love.
Headlining this series are two of GMA’s brightest young stars, Miguel Tanfelix and Bianca Umali who are both excited and ready to take on more mature roles.
Miguel Tanfelix is Diego Ocampo, a hardworking and street smart young man who does odd jobs for a living. He grew up alone as his father abandoned him and his mother is in jail. Eventually, he meets Crisanta and falls in love with her.
Bianca Umali is Crisanta Bautista, a kind and intelligent young woman who dreams of becoming an engineer someday. She loves her twin sister very much but is forced to make sacrifices when they both fall for the same man.
Joining them is a powerhouse cast composed of seasoned actors and actresses: Jean Garcia as Teresa Abaya; Marvin Agustin as Raymond De Villa; Alfred Vargas as Alex Magpantay; and returning Kapuso Carmina Villarroel as Geraldine Enriquez-De Villa.
The series also features award-winning artists: Ms. Gloria Romero as Anicia Enriquez and Mr. Christopher De Leon as Emmanuel De Villa.
Completing the star-studded cast are Jeric Gonzales as Makoy Claveria; Pauline Mendoza as Criselda Bautista; Rafa Siguion Reyna as Vincent; Sheree as Lilian Ocampo; Racquel Montessa as Mildred Abaya; introducing Kyline Alcantara sa Cheska De Villa.
With the special participation of Katrina Halili as Nida and Gardo Versoza as Noli.
Behind this enthralling drama is esteemed director Don Michael Perez with the creative team composed of creative director Roy Iglesias, creative head RJ Nuevas, creative consultant Suzette Doctolero, concept creator Borgy Danao, headwriter Des Garbes-Severino, writers Onay Sales and Kuts Enriquez, and brainstormers Brylle Tabora, Erwin Caesar Bravo and Borgy Danao.
