Claircognizance is a term used in metaphysical or psychic circles to describe a person's ability to know things without having any logical explanation for how they know them. People who are claircognizant are often said to experience sudden, intuitive insights or "downloads" of information that seem to come out of nowhere.
Claircognizance isn't limited to facts or knowledge—it also applies to emotions, ideas, and even future events. Someone with claircognizance may just "know" when something is about to happen or what someone's true intentions are, without any prior interaction or external clues. It's often described as an inner knowing or an unexplainable sense of certainty.
For example, in the movie "Hold Me Close" starring Julia Barretto and Carlo Aquino, the character of Lynlyn played by Julia Barretto is a claircognizant person as she can sense if a person will bring her joy or pain by just touching them.
While some people believe claircognizance is a gift or a psychic ability, others view it as a heightened form of intuition or deep sensitivity to one's surroundings, emotions, and energies. Either way, it can be a powerful tool for understanding the world and making decisions based on insights that transcend the ordinary.

'Hold Me Close' follows the story of two different people who met by chance in Karatsu, Japan. Woody (Carlo Aquino, spent almost seven years moving from different places in all corners of the world to search for the best place he can call his home, he moves to a remote, but serene town of Karatsu in Saga where he meets Lynlyn (Julia Barretto), a red haired charming, beautiful, but quite mysterious vendor in the port market.
Woody and Lynlyn, clicked immediately despite Lynlyn's clairvoyance, Woody is about to consider Karatsu his home, but Lynlyn's clairvoyance has kept her in the dark, her ability to foresee if someone will bring joy or pain to her life made it difficult for her to fall in love.
Unfortunately, she predicted that Woody would bring her pain, causing her to feel distant once more, despite the strong emotions and bond between them.
Will Woody be able to change the mind of Lynlyn and convince her that everything will be worth the try and that pain and joy are part of love.
Also starring in Hold Me Close are Jairus Aquino, Migo Valid, Shinya Inoue. Yuya Shirakawa, Hiroaki Mizayaki, and Ryota Hirata.
Hold Me Close will premiere in cinemas Nationwide this December 25.
