Tecno Pouvoir 4: Power Made Affordable

2020 has been the year for Midrange and Entry Level Smartphones, with the Global Economy came to halt because of the Pandemic we are facing mobile phone manufacturers has switched more of their product down to the entry level instead of just the midrange since majority of the market will opt not to get an expensive one because of the crisis.

We’ve seen a lot of Phone makers offering cheap smartphones in the entry level market today, that ranges from the Php 5000- Php10000 mark, usually these cheap smartphones got a trade off it’s either it sacrifices a special function or the quality suffers because well the device is cheap. But its already 2020 and many manufacturers have come up with smartphones that is cheap in price but definitely not cheap when it comes to the quality of the device.

A few months ago a new brand called Tecno entered the Philippine Market and they mean to compete in our market as they offer smartphones that really looked good with impressive specs with a tag price that’s just below Php7000. And this month they are launching another smartphone that is definitely a bang for buck, the Pouvior 4.

THE PROS:

  1. 7-inch IPS LCD

The Pouvoir 4 features a 7-inch IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 720x1640 that has 480 nits of brightness that gives the user an ultimate viewing experience, the phone is great if you are going to binge watch movies on Netflix or YouTube videos because it also has a powerful battery that is the biggest in the entry level Market.

  1. 6000 mAh Battery

A 6000 mAh Battery powers the Pouvior 4 and based on experience I have used the phone for almost 17 hours of moderate to heavy usage, I’ve used it as a hotspot for internet, used it for watching YouTube videos and movies on Netflix, for Social Media, browsing online, calls and text.

I think this is the phone with the biggest battery that I owned and I also didn’t have any problems when it comes to charging it as it comes with an 18-watt charger. (the battery lasted for four days with Moderate use, for social media, video streaming, browsing, and light games)

  1. 18 Watt Charging

Yeap you read it right the Pouvoir 4 features an 18-watt charging support and an 18-watt charger out of the box.

This feature kinda surprised me as the phone doesn’t support a USB Type C port, instead it still uses a Micro USB port and charger to supply its power.

It took me almost 4 hours to fill up the 6000 mAh Battery capacity of the device.

  1. Design and Built.

Polycarbonate plastic is the main component of the Pouvoir 4, but that doesn’t make the phone look and feel cheap I actually love how the phone looks especially the Fascinating Purple that I got. It actually lived up to its name as it fascinates me with how elegant the phone looks and also the phone feels solid and light on hand at 7-inch the phone isn’t that heavy to hold, but at that size one hand use isn’t advisable.

  1. Php 5990 Price Tag

With a Price Tag of Php 5990 I believe that the Pouvoir 4 is already a bang for the buck, if you are picking a phone for your online class but your budget is limited, I believe that the Pouvoir 4 is a good device for you, that big screen and big battery for less, this phone is really a budget champion.
