#UAAP78 Day 24: Adamson Gets Third Win, UST Bounces Back.


In the first game of the Saturday Matches of the 78th season of the UAAP at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, Adamson University gets their third victory of the season at the expense of the University of the East 74-71. 

The Soaring Falcons soars high early in the first period as they ended the first period at 24-19 over UE, though the Red Warriors were able to make runs to cut the lead of Adamson they still fall behind 44-48 at the end of the first half.

Entering the second half, Adamson were able to dominate the Red Warriors as they were able to limit the scoring of UE to just 10 points as they end the third period up 65-54. In final period the Red Warriors kept fighting as they were able to get close to Adamson, but the run was already late as the Falcons already sealed the win. 

Pape Sarr scored 22 points in this game to lead the Falcons to go up 3-9, while Clark Derige scored 17 points for the Red Warriors.

In the second game the UST Growling Tigers completes a season sweep over the FEU Tamaraws 85-76. 

All started well for the Tamaraws leading UST by as much as 11 points to end the first period at 30-19, but entering the second quarter fouls piled up for FEU enabling the Tigers to erased the deficit and tied the game at 45 to end the first half. 

The nightmare for FEU didn't end in the first half as it continued in the second half as fouls keep coming in, the defense of the Tamaraws dropped, as UST's offense continues to get hot for them to turn the tables and end the third period up 69-59. 

In the fourth period the Tamaraws are now struggling getting into penalty entering the 7:30 mark of the final period, meanwhile UST is just smooth sailing to get their tenth victory. 

Abdul and Ferrer combined 44 points for the Growling tigers, meanwhile Tolomia and Tamsi combined 32 points for the Tamaraws.
