NCAA Season 88 Game result (July 5)

The Mapua Cardinals come from behind win against the Saint Benilde Blazers 64-55 that put them on the winning column. After trailing in the first half the cardinals slowly trims down the lead of the blazers, CSB had problems when it comes in ball handling that made it easier for the cardinals to capitalize on by forcing turn overs and turning it into score. 


Reigning Rookie of the Year Josan Nimes lead the Cardinals in winning after producing 21 points and 8 rebounds. Mapua plays with only 11 players on the bench after Mr Henry Atayde filed a protest against the Rookies of Mapua that just finished their One year residency last June, the decision regarding is said to be discussed by the NCAA management committee by this week. meanwhile dubbed as "Mr Fourth Quarter V" and former Rookie of the Year Carlo Lastimosa failed to carry the Blazers in winning producing only 13 points for this game 6 of which came from his three consecutive basket in the 4th quarter


The Mapua Cardinals now has a 1-1 win-loss record while the Saint Benilde Blazers drops it 2nd consecutive loss after they lost to a close game against San Sebastian last Saturday 95-93 the Blazers are now with a 1-2 win-loss record.  




On the First game JRU Heavy Bombers gave the EAC Generals its first loss 90-79, Nate Matute produces 30 points, 21 points came from beyond the arc. Matute baskets 7 out of his 10 three point attempts. while Jan Jamon led the generals producing 20 points. JRU Heavy Bombers is at the Top spot of the Rankings with a 3-0 record while the EAC General now with a 1 win and 1 loss.
