They defy all the odds they faced last season and showed off that they are still the best basketball team in the NCAA, finishing the eliminations at 16-2 losing twice to Lyceum in that round the Red Lions roared back in the semifinals sending the streaking San Sebastian Golden Stags in the stepladder and then sweeping the undefeated Lyceum Pirates in the Finals, isn't that a testament of how great San Beda's basketball program is?
But coming to season 94 is a different story for San Beda as they welcome back former mentor Coach Boyet Fernandez back at the helm, Fernandez mentored the Red Lions back in season 90 the challenge is how the new guys will fit in with his coaching style since most of them entered at the time of Coach Jamike Jarin.
Speaking of players, Javee Mocon and Robert Bolick will lead the team along with foreign reinforcement Donald Tankoua, ace guards like Radge Tongco, AC Soberano, Jomari Presbitero, Jeramer Cabanag, also big men like Clint Doliguez and Kemark Carino are ready to battle it out in the court. Promising rookie Evan Nelle is also set to improve the ball rotation of the Red Lions inside the court.
The road to 3-peat will not be easy for the Red Lions as many teams looks to give a shot to the title and improved not only their line up, but also their basketball programs.
