The Mapua Cardinals has been one of the top contenders in the past seasons with Allwell Oraeme leading the pack the Cardinals were deadly and one of the dangerous team to battle in the NCAA, but coming in season 93 the Cardinals made a 360 degrees turn from being a top contender to becoming the cellar dwellers of the season.
Finishing season 93 with just 3 wins and 15 loss, the Cardinals are aiming to improve their record this season 94 though still in the rebuilding stage, Mapua is banking on their rookies this season to bolster their depleted line up last year.
Rookies such as former FEU Baby Tamaraw ace guard Eric James Jabel and their homegrown star player, former NCAA Mythical Selection in the Juniors Division, Warren Bonifacio is also set to beef up the line up along with returning players such as Exeqiel Biteng, and Laurenz Victoria.
Atoy Co is still at the helm of the rebuilding squad of Mapua.
