The La Salle Greenhills Greenies scored a huge win after denying the Arellano Braves of a sweep in the first round of elimination after dealing them their first loss for the season 98-69.
The Greenies entered the game aggressive as they dominated the Braves early in the first period 20-14, moving to the second quarter the Braves continues to struggle as the Greenies kept on punishing them inside the paint to end the first half up 44-34.
In the second half the Greenies continued to control the game extending their lead up 71-54, going to the final period the Braves became weak as they let the Greenies lead as high as 30 points.
Troy Mallillin outlast his closest opponent in the MVP race Guilmer Dela Torre as he scored 24 points for the Greenies as compared to Dela Torre's 19 for the Braves.

The Lyceum Pirates inches closer to the top 4 team after sending the San Sebastian Golden Stags to their 8th loss of the season 84-65.
It was a tight first half between the Pirates and the Stags ending the first period 22-19 in favor of the Pirates and 37-34 at the end of the first half still in favor of Lyceum.
But going to the second half the offense of San Sebastian collapsed enabling the Pirates to pull away taking a 63-47 lead at the end of the third and even extending it more in the fourth period.
Makki Santos led the Pirates with 24 points, while Jerico Isidro led the Stags with 15 points.
