#NCAA92 Day 15: EAC Kept CSB Win Less, Perpetual Help Shut Down Mapua


The EAC Generals had their biggest win so far in the tournament at the expense of the still struggling CSB Blazers 76-56. Though it was a tight contest at the beginning of the game with EAC having a single point advantage to end the first period at 16-15, and even extending it to a 40-33 lead at the end of the first half. 
Though at the start of the second half both squad struggled to scoring, it was CSB who really went down in that quarter as they only scored 10 points that gave way for the Generals to stretch their lead to 53-43 at the end of the third. 
Going in the final period EAC pulled away already as the Blazers wasn't able to keep it up with the Generals as they were down by as much as 24 points in the final period. 
EAC's foreign reinforcements towed them to their third win of the season as Sidney Onwubere scored 16 points and 7 rebounds and Hamadou Laminou added 14 points and 8 rebounds, Remy Morada scored a 13 points and 10 rebounds for the Generals. 
On the other hand, CSB is now at their worst record ever staying win less after 9 games, with Carlo Young, Yankie Haruna, and Christian Fajarito combined 28 points for the Blazers.   
EAC Generals 76- Onwubere 16, Laminou 14, Morada 13, Pascua 10, Munsayac 9, Corilla 5, Aguas 4, King 3, Diego 2.
CSB Blazers 56- Young 14, Haruna 13, Fajarito 11, Belgica 4, San Juan 4, Domingo JJ 4, Castor 2, Dixon 2, Pasamante 2.

In the second game the Perpetual Help Altas shuts down the Mapua Cardinals 71-51. It wasn't the usual Cardinals that entered the game, they were far from the usual aggressive and threatening as they were only able to score 8 points against the 15 of the Altas in the first period. 
In the second period the Cardinals back were already against the wall as they can't do anything to answer back at the attacks of the Altas that allowed them to extend their lead up 34-18. 
In the second half the Cardinals tried to play catch up game with the Altas, but still they went down in the third period 48-34. In the final quarter, the Cardinals continues to struggle as the were again out scored and outperformed by the Altas. 
Two Altas scored in double double figures, Gab Dagangon scored 20 points and 11 rebounds and Bright Akhuetie with 11 points and 12 rebounds. Perpetual Help moves up to 7-2. 
Darrell Menina was the only one who was able to score in double digits for the Cardinals having 13 points, Mapua dropped to 5-3.
