The La Salle Greenhill Greenies uphold the EAC Brigadiers 87-74 to take their fifth win in the tournament. The first half went close between the Greenies and the Brigadiers, ending the first period at 21-16, and the second period at 37-34 both in favor of the Greenies.
Going to the second half, the Greenies were able to pull
away in early in the third quarter as the Brigadiers had troubles keeping the
ball, the third period ended at 60-48 still in favor of the Greenies.
In the fourth period the Brigadiers were almost able to tie
the out of the Greenies in the quarter having 26 against 27 of LSGH, still it
wasn’t enough for the Brigadiers to even get close to the score of the
Greenies.
Troy Mallillin remains the number player in the league as he
carried the Greenies past the Brigadiers with his 22 points, 7 rebounds, and 4
assists performance, Haribon Espinosa and Vincent David added 14 and 12 points
respectively for the LSGH as they take the solo fourth position with 5-3
win-loss record.
Sean Oriondo led the Brigadiers
with 17 points, Maui Cruz contributed 15 points, while Roland Baliquig and CJay
Boado added 11 and 10 points each as EAC drops their 9th straight
game.

In the second game, the Malayan
Red Robins dominates the Perpetual Help Junior Altas 100-76. The Red Robins
showed early in the game their dominance taking an early 27-16 lead in the
first period.
In the second period the Red
Robins became more aggressive as they outperform the Junior Altas in the period
having 29 points against the 13 of the Perps, the first half ended with a huge
55-35 lead for Malayan.
In the second half, the Junior
Altas tried to fight back, but still the Red Robins were too strong for them as
they go down by as much as 30 points.
Five Red Robins Scored in double
figures, leading them are Clint Escamis and Sherwin Concepcion who both scored
15 points, Will Gozum and Romuel Junsay added 14 points each, and Bryan Samudio
contributed 10 points. Malayan remains in solo third with a 6-2 record.
Michael Duka and Errol Bongay
led the Junior Altas in this game having 15 and 14 points respectively.
Perpetual Help goes down to 4-5.
