Barcelona: A Love Untold

One of the biggest love team in the industry is about to make a comeback in the big screen, after the success of their recent movie "Crazy Beautiful You" February of 2015, Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla are making a comeback in another masterpiece by no less than Olivia M Lamasan entitled "Barcelona: A Love untold" that was shot all the way in Barcelona, Spain, the movie is set to premiere this September 14

Ely, a young man who can't get over Celine, his past love, meets Mia, a young woman who escaped from a painful past in the Philippines and is trying her luck to rebuild her life in Spain. 

They meet. They fall in love. 

But can they overcome the hurt of the past to have a future together?

#BarcelonaALoveUntold 8.5/10 Okay so Barcelona is about two strangers Mia and Eli that is bound to be destined for each other, but their past still haunts them down, their family failures, one being rejected and left out by his mother and the other being a disgrace to her father their miserable past will be the way for them to found love in each others failures and mistakes. Barcelona for me has the same theme with some of the movies of Direk Olivia Lamasan, some scenes were kinda familiar, some scenes have the same elements, and some of the lines were almost the same with other olivia lamasan movies like Milan and Starting Over Again. I love that in this movie Kathniels inhibitions and limitations were erased and that they were pushed through their maturity, though I always believe that an actors maturity doesn't rely on doing kissing scenes or even love scenes, but it will rely on the degree of the actors capability to portray the maturity of the character require for the story and Kath and DJ were able to do it. There are lots of quotable hugot quotes in the movie my favorite is the "Kung nandyan sya(Sa puso) saan ako? Saan ang lugar naming mga gustong magmahal sayo?", 😏 There are scenes that I felt that it doesn't have anything to do with the story. Though it was still okay. I was really wowed by DJ's acting in this movie, I can really feel his emotions, his acting leveled up a notch higher than in CBY and SDTG. Kath also leveled up in her acting in Barcelona, more mature, more heartfelt, and lesser inhibitions. All in all the movie was good, a must watch if you're a Kathniel Fan, and a must try if you are not. 😘
