#NCAA92 Day 4: Arellano Outlast San Sebastian, Perpetual Extend Streak, Letran Notches Second Win.



The Arellano Chiefs makes it 2-0 as they fend off the sloppy San Sebastian Stags 99-81 in the first game of the Friday triple header of the 92nd season of the NCAA.

The Chiefs showed early dominance over the Stags as they struggle to keep the ball on their side giving the lead early in the game at 26-19 at the end of the first period, getting in to the second period San Sebastian were able to recover to trim the lead of Arellano down to 46-39 at the end of the first half. 

The turnover hoes continue to haunt San Sebastian even in the second half of the game, giving the opportunity to the Chiefs to dominate the third period to extend their lead to a 71-57, San Sebastian tried to rally past the Chiefs at the beginning of the final period as they were able to cut the lead to 69-75, but the Stags looks like they emptied their gas tank as Arellano pulled away late in the game to take their second win dealing the stags to their first loss.

Dubbed as the Bus Driver, Jiovani Jalalon almost had a triple double after making 31 points, 11 assists, and 8 steals, Kent Salado and Dioncee Holts contributed 17 and 16 points respectively. Ryan Costelo, Alvin Capobres, and Michael Calisaan scored 15, 14, and 12 points respectively.

In the second game the Letran Knights escaped the late run of the CSB Blazers 56-52 to take their 2nd victory in three outings.  

It was a tight and a low scoring ball game between the Knights and the Blazers with the Knights dictating the pace of the game from start to finish, Letran started the game with an early 7-0 lead over CSB and even extending it to a 13-9 lead at the end of the first period, the Knights extends their lead at the end of the first half with a 29-20 lead over the Blazers. 

Jom Sollano led the Knights with 16 points and 9 rebounds, John Calvo and John Quinto added 11 points each, Clement Leutcheu was the lone bright spot for the Blazers scoring a double-double 11 points and 13 rebounds.

In the final game, the Perpetual Help Altas had a bright game as they notch their first win for the season after defusing the JRU Heavy Bombers 58-50. 

The first quarter ended tied at 11 between the two squad, but going to the second period the Altas were able to take a slight cushion ending the first half with a small 31-25 lead. Moving to the second half the Heavy Bombers bombarded Perpetual Help with an 8-2 run to cut the lead of the Altas to a 32-33, 

JRU was able to keep the game close in the succeeding minutes, but going in to the last two minutes of the game the Altas were able to make a run of their own to secure their first victory sending JRU winless. 

Bright Akhuetie returned for the Altas with 19 points, while Gerald Dizon and Gab Dagangon added 12 and 10 points. Teytey Teodoro was the lone bright spot for JRU as he was the only one who scored in double digits with 24 points.
