In the first game of the ninth day of eliminations of the UAAP season 78 juniors basketball, the Ateneo Highschool Blue Eaglets were able to escape past the University of the Philippines Integrated School Junior Maroons 75-67. Shaun Ildefonso led the way for the Blue Eaglets with 17 points and 9 rebounds, adding to that is Gian Mamuyac with 16 points to put Ateneo in solo third with a 6-3 record.
On the side of UPIS, Juan Gomez De Liano and Allane Barles were the bright spots of the Junior Maroons producing 21 and 19 points respectively as they almost caught up with Blue Eaglets at 68-64 with less than three minutes left, but like what had happened in their last game against Adamson the Junior Maroons ran out of gas and failed to capitalize on the situation. The Junior Maroons stays at the seventh spot with a 1-8 record.

The FEU FERN Baby Tamaraws bounces back after their huge loss over the Junior Archers on their last game as they beat the UE Junior Warriors 93-79. Kenji Roman remains the go to guy of the Baby Tamaraws as he scored a double-double output of 17 points and 13 rebounds, adding to that is Jack Gloria's 14 points to help the Baby Tams in regaining the fourth spot with a 5-4 record.
Meanwhile, Ernest Camarillo and Dustin Angeles scored 21 points each for the Junior Warriors as they dropped their 9th straight game to remain win less in the tournament.

Though playing with minor injuries Aljun Melecio again torches the De La Salle Zobel Junior Archers to victory over the USTHS Tiger Cubs 78-52, Melecio scored 17 points and 8 rebounds as the Junior Archers completely dominated the Tiger Cubs specially in the third period where UST only scored 9 against the 23 of Zobel.
Adding to Melecio's 17 points is Miguel Fortuna's 14 points to help the Junior Archers secure a solo second place with a 7-2 record, meanwhile on the side of UST Marlon Navarro was the lone player of the Tiger Cubs to score in double digit with 10 points, the Tiger Cubs drops to 6th place with a 3-6 record.

In the final game, the Nazareth School of National University Bullpups were able to escape the upset minded Adamson Baby Falcons 68-66 after a put back by Justine Baltazar who scored the last basket that saved the immaculate record of the bullpups against the baby falcons. Baltazar scored 12 points, adding to that is John Lloyd Clemente's 20 points and Rhayyan Amsali with 16 points.
On the side of the Baby Falcons, Evan Agbong, Ralf Chua and Jayson Celis combined 37 points for the Adamson in losing efforts, the Baby Falcons dropped to 5th place with a 5-4 record.
