From the discoverers of top music icons in the industry comes another talent search that aims to discover the stars born in this generation, Viva Communications Inc. in partnership with TV5 comes "Born To Be A Star" a weekly singing competition that will air on Primetime Saturdays starting February 6 on TV5.
Born To Be A Star is hosted by multi awarded singer song writer Ogie Alcasid, alongside Mark Bautista and Yassi Pressman, on the other hand the panel of judges is composed of top caliber performers namely Pops Fernandez, Rico Blanco, Aiza Seguerra, and Andrew E.
The mechanics of the show will be brought back to the old style competition wherein every week there are four contestant that will get a feature that will put real life drama of the contestants, the winner of every weekly competition will face each other in a monthly competition that will determine who will be in the grand finals.

Jan 9 & 10: SM City Bicutan
Jan 16 & 17: SM City Sta Mesa
Jan 23 & 24: SM City San Mateo
Jan 30 & 31: SM City Novaliches
There are also audition set in key cities like Cebu, Davao, Batangas, Dagupan and Metro Manila starting March, meanwhile here are the prices at stake that awaits the grand champion; the grand winner will receive a total of Php 3 Million worth of prizes, including Php1 million cash, Php 1 million peso worth of contract under Viva Artists Agency and TV5, and house and lot worth Php 1 million
