#NCAA93 Day 9: Lyceum continues domination, Letran take Arellano down, Perpetual escape past San Sebastian


The Lyceum Pirates once again showed their dominance and power as they disposed the hapless CSB Blazers after a 98-55 game outing.

The Pirates opened the game with a 16-11 lead in the opening quarter and that was the closest that the Blazers were able to get as Lyceum went on a rampage in the remaining quarters, extending their lead as much as 46 points.

Jaycee Marcelino had a 17 point high performance to top the scoring for Lyceum, while Unique Naboa was the lone Blazer to score in double digits with 14 points.

The Letran Knights outlasted the Arellano Chiefs after an 82-75 match.

The Knights didn't open the game on a high note after the Chiefs takes on an early 25-18 lead in the first quarter, but going to the second period Letran was pumped up as they were able to take over the elad to end the first half 46-38.

In the second half Arellano was able to snatch back the lead in the third period after they finished the quarter with a slim 57-58 lead, but the Knights were eager to score a win as theyw ere able to retake the lead early in the game and finally securing the win as well.

Jeo Ambohot and Rey Nambatac both had a double double performance of 15 points and 13 rebounds, and 15 points and 12 rebounds respectively.

Lervin Flores top scored for the Chiefs after producing 17 points and 11 rebounds.

Thanks to GJ Ylagan the Perpetual Altas escape past the gritty San Sebastian Golden Stags 68-67.

Eager to take a win both squads opened the game hot, finishing the opening quarter 14-13 in favor of the Stafs, but going to the second period the Stags went off as they only scored 8 points, giving the opportunity for the Altas to capitalize and take a 30-22 lead to end the first half.

In the second half, the Altas were able to maintain their lead as they were able to keep the distance between them and the Stags. Though the stags were able to get as close as 65-66 with 9 seconds remaining in the game, but thanks to the Charities that Ylagan bucketed they were able to escape with the win.

GJ Ylagan led the Altas with 15 points, while Michael Calisaan led the Golden Stags.
