The San Bed
red Lions sneaked past the JRU Heavy Bombers in their low scoring match that
ended 54-48.
The pace of
the game went slow as both squads were only able to produce 10 points each in
the opening quarter.
Moving to
the second period the Heavy Bombers shooting was missing as they were only able
to score 4 points, giving the Red Lions the chance to take over the game at the
end of the first half with a 28-14 lead.
JRU tried
to make a comeback in the second half as they were able to cut the lead of San
Beda down to a 32-39 at the end of the third.
The Red
Lions though struggling in the second half were still able to maintain the lead
that they established in the second period to keep JRU away as they were able
to seal the win.
Clint Doliguez had a career performance of 22
points and 8 rebounds for the Red Lions, Aaron Bordon and Jed Mendoza combined
25 points for the Heavy Bombers.

The Lyceum
Pirates kept their record clean after sweeping away the Perpetual Altas 76-58.
Though the
Altas were able to keep the game close in the first half trailing behind 13-16
in the opening quarter and 30-34 at the end of the first half still the Pirates
once again showcased their dominance in yet another impressive to move up 6-0, after
they outperformed the perps after a 42 point explosion in the second half
CJ Perez and Jesper Ayaay teamed up once again
for the Pirates as they scored 19 and 12 points respectively. On the side of
the Perps, it wasn’t easy for Prince Eze to carry his team as his 19 point and
19 rebound performance went to the losing end of the game

The San
Sebastian Golden Stags banked on the slow start of the Mapua Cardinals to get
back to the winning column after a 75-66 victory.
The
Cardinals went loose in the opening quarter, giving the Stags the chance to run
away early in the game taking a 14-5 lead, though going to the second period
the Cardinals were able to return as they trimmed the deficit down to 25-28 to
end the first half.
In the
second half the Golden Stags again took control of the game after taking a 54-42
lead in the third, the Cardinals tried to fight back in the final period even
outscoring the stags after a 24-21 output but that wasn’t enough for them to
make a comeback.
Allyn
Bulanadi led the run for the Stags as he scores 18 points, Andrew Estrella
scored a season high 27 points for the Cardinals.
