The San
Beda Red Lions continues their winning streak after beating the Mapua Cardinals
66-55.
The Red
Lions entered the game roaring as they went on a rampage scoring 23 points in
the opening quarter against the 6 points of Mapua.
In the
second period the Cardinals were able to recover after they cut the lead down
to a 20-31 scoring to end the first half.
San Beda
continues their dominance in the third period after they again extend their
lead up 51-32 at the end of the third and even extended it to a 25 point
deficit in the final period.
Donald
Tankoua had 11 points and 16 rebounds for the Red Lions, Christian Bunag had 20
points and 18 rebounds for the Cardinals.
The San
Sebastian Golden Stags feasted on the hapless College of Saint Benilde Blazers
after a dominant 101-71 win.
It was a
complete dominance by San Sebastian throughout the game not letting the Blazers
get close nor cut their lead down.
Michael
Calisaan scored 20 points in this game, while Alfren Gayosa had 15 and Allyn
Bulanadi added 13 points.
On the side of the Blazers, rookie Unique Naboa
led his team with 17 points, Edward Dixon added 15 points, while Clement
Leutcheu had 12 points.
The Colegio
de San Juan de Letran Knights frustrates the Perpetual Help System Altas after
escaping past with a 63-61 victory thanks to Bong Quinto.
The first
half was fully controlled by the Knights, taking a 14-7 lead in the opening
quarter and keeping the lead at 24-19 to end the first half.
The Altas
build up their momentum after cutting the lead of the Knights down to 36-39 at
the end of the third, going to the final period the Altas were successful in
snatching the lead at 40-39 and even extended it to 47-43.
The Altas
were on hold of the lead until the last two minutes of the game, but JP Calvo
and Bong Quinto got other things in mind after they delivered the Knights to
the victory.
Bong Quinto top scored for the Knights with 14
points, Rey Nambatac had double-double 12 points and 15 rebounds, Jerrick
Balanza also scored 12 points and JP Calvo had 11 points.
On the side of the Altas, Prince Eze scored 18
points with 16 rebounds.
