Nokia is back and they are in it to win back
their old patrons again. In the keynote presented a while ago the Finnish brand
along with their newest partner HMD Global introduces a new era of smartphones
to the Nokia brand, announcing three budget friendly Android smartphone to kick
off their return in the smartphone market.
The first one was the global reiteration of the
Nokia 6 that comes in a special edition Art Black variant adding to the silver,
copper, and tempered blue color, the Nokia 6 is priced at 229 euros and 299
euros for the special edition that is approximately more or less Php 14000 here
in the Philippines when it officially released this summer. When it comes to
specifications nothing has changed with the Nokia 6 global variant and the one
that was released in China.
Next up was the Nokia 5, the 5 features a
smaller 5.2 inch screen, according to HMD Global’s Chief Product Officer Juho
Sarvikas the Nokia 5 was unique because of the way that they shaped a perfect
3D shape out of a block of 6000 serious aluminum making it robust. The 5 also
comes in tempered blue, copper, silver, and black and it will retail for about 189
euros that’s more or less Php 12000.
The last android phone announced was the Nokia
3, the more affordable one that has a flagship design with a price point of 139
euros that’s only less than Php 10000. Being the more affordable one doesn’t mean
that it will also be a compromised one instead just like its big brothers the 3
features it is also made out of a solid block of aluminum, it features a 5 inch
display is bright polarized and laminated to a gorilla glass. The 3 also features
a special 8 megapixel front facing camera sensor that features wide angle view
and auto focus.
Last and definitely not the least, the real
highlight of the keynote was the relaunch of the 2017 version of the classic
Nokia 3310. Colorful, reliable, and durable as ever the Nokia 3310 features a
massive 22 hours of talk time and it is 10 times more powerful than the
original one as it can last up to one month on stand by mode. The new Nokia 3310 is priced at 49 euros or less the Php 3000.
