A Love To Last's Ronnie Alonte and Julia Barretto

2016 ended with a bang for both Ronnie and Julia both young stars embarked their mark in the industry and proved that they have a place in it.

For Ronniem he reached so many feats in his career that was rare for a newbie like him, he did a concert with his group Hashtags last September, they launched an album, he had his own single, he starred in two MMK episode, he had his first solo concert last December 17, and of course he had two movies in the recently concluded Metro Manila Film Festival which are both blockbuster hit, Vince & Kath & James and Seklusyon who were number 1 and 3 in the box office.

When asked what Ronnie has to say with people who criticizes his performance in the MMFF the young actor responded "Ano pong ineexpect nila sa baguhan, unang sabak ko palang naman po eh pwede pa namang pong maimprove to kapag tumagal" and he also expresses his willingness to join again in the next film fest if given another chance.

For Julia, the start of 2016 was a bit hard for her, her last project "And I Love You So" didn't have an immediate follow up after that she had issues with her family that slowed down her career. And her last shot to redeem herself was the movie "Vince & Kath & James".

Julia feels so grateful and overwhelmed after receiving Vince And Kath And James, she considers it as an answered prayer since she has been wanting a material like VKJ. She is also happy with how people received her tandem with Ronnie and Joshua as well.

When asked if there was any point in her career that she wanted to give up Julia replied "Giving Up, wala yan sa vocabulary ko" as she always make it to the point that no matter how low her career or her life goes she always pick herself up and try again until she reaches her dreams.

VKJ wasn't supposed to be a film festival entry, it was supposed to be the last offering of Star Cinema in 2016 replacing My Ex And Why's in the November 30 playdate, but they submitted the film as well in the festival along with Vice Ganda's The Super Parental Guardians and Arci Munoz's Extra Service. Who would've thought that the movie will be chosen, I guess that's what they call destiny.

And that destiny brought them to be part of this years' opening teleserye of ABSCBN; "A Love To Last" starring Bea Alonzo and Ian Veneracion, Julia plays the role of Chloe the eldest daughter of Anton, she's an over protective daughter to her father after they were left behind by their mother Grace (Iza Calzado), even though she is rich she will eventually fall for a struggling young boy Tupe played by Ronnie.

The two revealed that they had an awkward time when they first met specially Ronnie since he thought that Julia was a bit too high and out of reach for him, but the two get along and became closer specially after VKJ they have A Love To Last.

When it comes to what they can offer in "A Love To Last" Julia says that in the series they will be more dynamic as their characters Tupe and Chloe comes from different walks of life.

Catch Tupe and Chloe in A Love To Last beginning today, January 9, 2017 right after FPJ's Ang Probinsyano.
