NCAA Season 88 Game Results (June 23-24)



Despite having only 6 players allowed to play for their first game, The San Beda College Red Lions were to defeat a complete roster team Arellano University Chiefs, Though the Chiefs where able to led the 1st half of the game the Red Lions bounced back in the 2nd half making a 63-54 lead over the chiefs at the end of 3rd quarter and eventually winning the game with a 10 point margin 81-71.


First timers Yvan Ludovice and Art Dela Cruz producing 18 points each that led the Red Lions in winning their first assignment of the season. meanwhile Rocky Acidre and John Pinto led the Chiefs in losing efforts producing 16 points each. 


The Letran Knights won over the San Sebastian Stags 80-74 with an amazing 31 point performance of Letran's Team Captain Kevin Alas  arried the Knights to win their opening game against the Stags, Too many turnovers caused San Sebastian to lose this game and also despite Ronald Pascual back after an ACL Injury he wasn't able to help in San Sebastian's scoring department after he fouled out early on the third quarter. Ian Sangalang led the Stags with 24 points followed by Calvin Abueva with 18 points. 


The Jose Rizal University Heavy Bombers escape past the Mapua Cardinals to win the game 65-64, Mapua almost force an over time after their Rookie Guard Andrew Estrella puts in a game tying shot, but a foul to JRU's John Lopez secured the victory for the Heavy Bombers after he puts in 1 out of 2 free throw shot.
