The Finale has begun for the National Collegiate Athletics Association of the Philippines as the San Beda Red Lions nears the 3 peat after they defeated the CJ Perez-less Lyceum of the Philippines Pirates 73-60.
Javee Mocon showed up with his A game in his second to the last if ever game in the NCAA after he led the Red Lions with a huge double-double output of 14 points and 10 rebounds, Robert Boilick added 12 points and 9 assists, Clint Doliguez had 11 points, while Donald Tankoua contributed another double-double with 10 points and 16 rebounds.
Without CJ Perez, Mike Nzeusseu steps up for the Pirates with 16 points and 14 rebounds and helping him is Jayvee and Jaycee Marcelino who adds up their twin efforts giving the Pirates 13 points each.
Game 2 of the Finals will be this coming November 12 at the Mall of Asia Arena at 4pm.
CJ Perez was suspended by the NCAA due to his failure to notify (in letter) the league of his intent to join the PBA Draft that will begin next month.
