It was a tight ball game between these two teams from start to finish it was a neck and neck battle. UST was able to take a slight lead in the opening period at 15-7. but going to the next two quarters the Fighting Maroons became dominant and was able to control the pace of the game with an 11 point lead.
In the final period, UP was able to maintain their lead at the start of the game, but entering the final two minutes of the game they were able to snatch the lead and made it a 70-68 ball game and eventually making it a 73-71 ball game with 7 seconds left, but luck plays a big part as Desiderio shoots down a dagger three to kill the comeback of UST.
Paul Desiderio was the man of the game with 17 points. Marvin Lee's 20 point performance wasn't able to put the Tigers on the winning column.

The Far Eastern University Tamaraws almost had the taste of mayhem after the De La Salle University Green Archers as they almost whipped them down in their match thanks to their late run they were able to end it at 95-90.
The Green Archers showed their dominance throughout the game, not letting FEU go anywhere near them, pushing their lead as high as 20 not until the final perio of the game wherein the Tamaraws started to make a run that erased the huge lead of La Salle down to just 4 point, but lucky for La Salle time ran out for the Tamaraws to complete a comeback.
The backcourt trio of Aljun Melecio, Andre Caracut and Kib Montalbo totally punished the offense and defense of the Tamaraws in this game. Melecio had 21 points, Caracut added 16 points, and Montalbo contributed 12 points.
Ron Dennison serves as the leader for the Tamaraws in this game, giving away 21 points followed by Inno Comboy with 13 points, while Prince Orizu had 12 points and 10 rebounds.
