The San
Beda Red Lions kicks off the second round of elimination with a huge to 72-58
win over the College of Saint Benilde Blazers that improves their record to 9-1.
The Blazers
had the better of the opening quarter after taking a 14-9 lead to open up the

In the second
half San Beda continues to punish the sloppy Blazers to push their lead up

they only produced 9 points hence they still went on to take the win.
Robert Bolick
again led the Red Lions with 14 points and 11 assists, but he was meted with a
one game suspension after a mere scuffle with CSB’s Carlo Young that caused him
to be thrown out of the game, erasing his chances in the MVP race.
Davon Potts
added 12 points, while Javee Mocon had 10 points and 10 rebounds.
Clement Leutcheu was the lone Blazer to score
in double figures, 25 points and 15 rebounds.

The Pirates
were able to pull away in the second half as they extend their lead at 59-45
and eventually finishing the third period with a 73-58 lead.
In the
final period, Mapua started to make a run in the final two minutes of the game,
but the 10-6 run in the final minute wasn’t enough for them to complete a comeback.

10-0 in the league.
