World's #2 pole vaulter EJ Obiena has launched a fundraising drive for the benefit of future Filipino pole vaulters, dubbed as "Katapulting an Athlete's Dream", the fundraiser aims to create more pole-vaulting pits across the Philippines.
Fresh from his gold medal coup in the recently concluded 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, China. EJ is back in the country to start off this mission of bringing Pole Vaulting closer to the Filipinos.
In a press conference held last October 10 in Greenhills, Obiena announced his partnership with Katapult Digital, a Marketing Technology Agency to help him auction off his gears from the 2023 South East Asian Games that includes his custom-made spikes, and his World Championship suit are all up for grab in the auction.
Aside from the auction, a donation drive is also up on EJ Obiena's website at https://ejobiena.katapultdigital.com/ for fans and supporters who also want to share in the donation drive.
EJ is already on the lookout for promising student athletes and deserving schools that will become beneficiaries of the project that will be led by EJ's father, Coach Emerson Obiena.
