Michael Ver: The Next Big Thing

Aside from being an athlete, a model, and a pageant king, Michael is also a social media influencer, and he’s got a huge number of followings specially on Tiktok where he has a total of 1.7 million followers and gathered almost 47.5 million likes for his contents and I am not surprised because aside from showing off his talents and looks, he is that ball of energy that emits positivity to his followers and viewers. 

But is Michael willing to take a shot in showbizness? He just answered me with a very smile that looks like telling me it’s a big yes if given the chance. 

Seeing Michael, he has always reminded me of a young Richard Gomez, coz why not he just like Goma is Tall, Dark, and Handsome. They are also both athletic and they are both waray, and I think I am not the only one who sees the semblance between the two.  

For Michael, he always feels flattered when people compared him to Richard because he has always looked up to him not only being the Mayor of Ormoc City, but also as a family man, an athlete, he has always been an inspiration to him.  

Joining showbizness, Michael said he is willing to go out of his comfort zone, he even added that joining pageants is a training ground for him to lift away his inhibitions like showing a bit of skin specially when it comes to doing underwear photoshoots which he did for the very first time for the Mister Grand International pageant where he just wore a white and black briefs that was required by the pageant. 

He would love to work with his crush Ivana Alawi and Julia Barretto and he is willing to work hard to get in showbiz, who knows we would see him on screen soon.  

 

Having a huge number of following on social media has its own pros and cons, of course part of it is being popular, brands keep coming in to get you to endorse their products and services, you are also able to influence other people, inspiring a lot, and giving positive vibes, but just like other people no matter how you just wanted to give out good vibes there are people that will not like you and Michael has a fair share of those.  

He usually doesn’t mind them, but there are who he just can’t ignore, he was always tagged as just another pretty face and just got a nice body. But for Michael he uses these comments as a motivation to do better, to make himself a better version and to prove this people wrong.
