Despite the pandemic we are still facing the Metro Manila Film Festival has announced the first four film entries for the 2020 edition of the Festival this December, the first four entries are led by Regal Film’s movie adaptation of Bob Ong’s Ang Mga Kaibigan ni Mama Susan starring Angie Ferro and Joshua Garcia, directed by Chito S. Roño.
Toni Gonzaga and Alex Gonzaga movie is also in the festival from TinCan, Vice Ganda’s Praybeyt Benjamin 3 also enters the festival, and the 2020 version of the classic Magic Kingdom is also in the Festival entitled MagikLand starring Jun Urbano, Migs Cuaderno.
The first four movies were chosen based on Script, the next four movies will be about the finished products.
Last Black Saturday, April 11, 2020 was supposed to be the first Summer Metro Manila Film Festival, but due to the Enhanced Community Quarantine the festival was cancelled and the 8 competing movies were put on hold, the question is when and how will these movies premiering during our current situation and under the new normal?
