Weeks ago commuters were surprised by the sudden move by Uber to sold their South East Asian arm to the Singaporean Transport Network Company, Grab. In that case that includes the Philippines which one of Uber's biggest market in Asia, leaving the competition behind it paves way for Grab Philippines to monopolized the TNC Market and lots of disgruntled ex Uber costumers and even the avid grab users expressed their disappointment to the services that Grab is offering, from the high surge pricing, cancelled bookings, and even the scarcity of cars they all went to Social Media to voice it out.
Worry no more because the Land Transportation Franchising Regulatory Board has a good news to every TNC users out there as they approved the accreditation of three new transport network company and that includes HYPE. Owned and operated by the Hype Transport System Inc. led by Mr. Nick Escalante who serves as the President and CEO, COO Ms Jennifer Silan, and Mr. John Codorniz Jr. the company was accredited last April 18, the LTFRB through Atty. Aileen Lizada they are now open to give certificate of accreditation for those TNVS Drivers who would like to apply fro HYPE.
Hype gives an option for their riders either they choose online or offline booking, yes you red it right OFFLINE, meaning the app gives you the option to text the driver on where your location is and your destination and even what vehicle you want to use and the text is for FREE.
When it comes to pricing HYPE follows the per kilometer fare matrix that the LTFRB implemented plus they don't charge riders of the 2 peso per minute charging unlike Grab and that will make HYPE's fare cheaper.
The HYPE App is set to come out this May 19 on Google Play and Appstore and they will be having a grand launch on May 26.
HYPE is an all Filipino for Filipino transport network company and that's what they are up to, to give services to Filipinos.
