Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League Opens Door To Locals



A new and exciting Basketball league is about to begin, named as Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League the league aims to open doors to Filipino Basketball Players whether Ex Profesional, Collegiate, Amateur, or just plain ballers from the provinces are given a chance to showcase and to develope their talents in this league.

MPBL aims to enrich the grass roots of every team city/province that competes in every conference.

The league has 10 teams from Metro Manila and Luzon namely Bataan, Batangas, Bulacan, Caloocan, Imus, Muntinlupa, Navotas, Parañaque, Quezon City, and Valenzuela.

Each team are allowed to get three ex professionals and three grass roots player, no imports are allowed in the league as the league prioritizes Filipino players.

The MPBL follows a single round robin format where the top 8 will battle in a best of three quarterfinals match up and the top 4 will face each other in a best of three semifinals.

The opening game of the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League is set on January 25, 7pm at the Araneta Coliseum. Ticket prices are 300,200, and 150.

Sen. Manny Pacquiao who is the patron of the league has a surprise for those who will watch the opening game as he will give away a brand new car and 10 motorbikes to lucky spectators.
