Mama’s Girl
tackles the mother and daughter relationship of Mina (Sylvia Sanchez) and Abby
(Sofia Andres), everything seems to be fine between the two not until one
fateful day that changes everything especially for Abby and it was the day that
her Mama Mina passes away. The world seemed to fall apart for Abby that she
ended up almost giving up everything, but still her Mama Mina was there to
guide her to rebuild her life again.
Mama’s Girl
revolves around five key elements on how to move on when you lose someone
important, first is Commitment. Everything starts when you are committed and
that commitment will bring you to the second element which is Passion.
Passion for
what you really love is first key factor in redeeming yourself, if you felt
lost along the way always remember why and where you started and from there you
begin to pick yourself up and go to the second element which is Acceptance.
Accepting
what has happened, learn to let go and take on another task in life, like what
they always say if someone leaves there is always someone who will come to fill
in the void in your life, let other people come in to help you go to the third
element, Forgiveness.
The moment
you learned to accept everything that happened in your life, the next step is
by forgiving all the people who had hurt you physically, emotionally, and even
spiritually coz for you to start anew you need to let bygones be bygones and reconcile
with everyone who meted you harm, from there it will bring you to the last
element, which is Love.
Love heals
and brings everything back in their right place or at least and that’s what
Abby realized after she followed the five will of her Mama Mina, these five
elements from the movie will teach you so many things and will make you realize
how important our mothers are.
Mama’s Girl
is one of the best movie I’ve seen from Regal Entertainment, it exceeded all of
my expectations and even went beyond what I thought to be a heartwarming movie
as it mixed up almost all of my emotions, it made me laugh, made me feel the
love, made me cry, and made me appreciate all the things and people around me.
The story
was well written and the use of flashbacks were well executed to show the
relationship of Mama Mina and Abby.
Sofia Andres
was able to deliver an exceptional performance in this movie, she proved that
she is an actress as she was able to make it at par with the acting prowess of
Ms. Sylvia Sanchez who delivered an outstanding performance again.
All in all,
Mama’s Girl is a good movie and this is worthy of your money and time as it
will teach you so many things about family, love, and life.
