Home Foodie is returning for their second season this June 13, and a new season means there is something new to look forward in the morning cooking show and that is a new host! Joining Drew Arellano in Home Foodie Season Two is his wife Iya Villania. There will be more episode this season to give the aspiring foodies more tips, tricks and recipes for their food of choice.
Going back to the lovely adorable couple, Drew has been a
perfect host for the first season as he gave the show a “Masa” appeal, and with
his wife Iya joining the team to represent the new and upcoming wives and moms for
sure the show will be a lot more informative, helpful and very entertaining
specially to moms out there.
Aside from Drew and Iya, chefs from San Miguel Purefoods
Culinary Center led by chef Llena Tan-Arcenas, Rene Ruz, and RJ Garcia will be
the expert guide for your “Kayang Kaya Recipe of the Day”.
Here's one recipe they shared from the event yesterday, this is called "Pali Kambing" aka Fried
Banana Dumplings with Caramel Sauce. Here are the ingredients you need to make this awesome dessert:
1KG: Over Ripe Mashed Lakatan Bananas
3/4 CUP: Magnolia All Purpose Flour
1 PC: Magnolia Brown Egg
1/2 CUP: Sugar
1(475ml) Bottle: Magnolia Nutrioil Palm Vegetable Oil
Here are the ingredients for the Caramel:
1/2 CUP Sugar
1/2 CUP Water
2(10.5g) WANDAH All Around Creamee Mix, Dissolved with 1/2Cup of Water.
1 TBSP: Star Margarine.
Procedure:
1. Combine bananas, flour, egg, sugar. Mix well.
2. Heat oil in a saucepan. Fry every 2 tbsp of mixture until brown. Drain on paper towels.
3. For the Caramel Sauce, combine sugar and water in a saucepan over medium heat. When syrup turns to amber/light brown color, turnoff heat then add prepared creamee and margarine.
4, Drizzle over pali kambing and you are now ready to serve.
