It was a seesaw battle between the two squads JRU was leading in the last 2 minutes of the game, but the Chiefs were able to tie the game at 87 all with Paolo Pontejos missing the could be winning shot due to a travelling violation pushing the game into overtime.

In the second game the Mapua Cardinals stuns number three seed Perpetual Help Altas after beating them 70-65 to keep their final hopes alive.

Mapua started strong in the game, capitalizing on the sloppy plays of the Altas  as they end the first half with a huge 46-29 lead and keeping a 59-42 lead entering the fourth period, but the Perps were able to get close after making several runs trimming the lead down to 68-65 with less than a minute left in the game but the run was already late as the Cardinals already taking the win.

Even without ace players Josan Nimes, CJ Isit, and Andretti Stevens still sidelined due to their injuries, all seems well for Allwell Oraeme as he carried the Cardinals in winning the game proving he is not number one in the MVP race for nothing giving out a double double performance of 19 points and 15 rebounds

On the side of the perps Bright Akhuetie's 18 points didn't light up the chances of the Altas in getting the win.
