#NCAA91 Day 2: Letran and Perpetual Help Repulses Foes

In the second day of the Seniors Basketball of the NCAA, in the first game the University of Perpetual Help Dalta Altas defeated the Lyceum of the Philippines University Pirates 70-61. '

The Altas were able to bounce back after a lopsided 1st quarter where they only scored 9 points, the whole game was so close that until the 4th quarter where the Pirates leads 54-57, at that point reigning MVP Scottie Thompson steps up  his game scoring a cold blooded three to tie the match at 57- all with 4:38 left in the clock,

Thompson scored 8 of his 12 points in the fourth quarter sealing the win for the Altas. Meanwhile on the other side Shaq Alanes led the Pirates in scoring with 13 points. This is the 1st game of Lyceum's new coach, Coach Topex Robinson.

Perpetual Help Altas 70: Eze 21, Thompson 12, Dagangon 12, Akhuetie 9, Coronel 6, Elopre 5, Ylagan 3, Oliviera 2. 

Lyceum  Pirates 61: Alanes 13, Baltazar 11, Nguidjol 11, Bulawan 11, Mbida 8, Taladua 3, Soliman 2, Gabayni 2. 

In the second game. Even though they have a new program and coach, the Colegio de San Juan de Letran Knights easily defeated the College of Saint Benilde Blazers 82-53.

The Knights showed the Blazers their strong defense that resulted to 33 turnovers converted to 32 points.Veteran Play maker Mark Cruz led the scoring department of Letran with 16 points, meanwhile Jonathan Grey top scored the Blazers with 16.

Juniors Division:

In the second game, League Commissioner Bai Cristobal forfeited the big win of the LSGH Greenies over the Letran Squires, due to the violation made by the greenies with regards to the uniform, 3 players of the greenies namely Jesmar Pedrosa,, Ladis Lepalam, and Alain Madrigal wore jersey nos. 20,27, and 28 respectively. according to NCAA Rule only jersey numbers 4 to 19 are allowed to be used by the players.

CSB which is the senior counterpart of LSGH has yet to file an appeal for the forfeiture.
