This 2017 Coco Martin is set to return in the Metro Manila Film Festival via his own adaptation of the iconic Fernando Poe Jr character Flavio in the 2017 version of "Ang Panday". This movie marks Coco Martin's debut as a director under his real name Rodel Nacianceno, "Ang Panday" is also produced by Coco's own production outfit CCM Film Productions in partnership with Star Cinema.
The action packed fantasy movie of 2017 "Ang Panday" is also packed with an all star cast starting off with Jake Cuenca, Awra Briguela, Julio Diaz, Elisse Joson, Mccoy De Leon, introducing 2017's breakout child stars Heart Ramos, Enzo Pelojero, James Sagarino, and with a special participation of Ms Gloria Romero, Mr Jaime Fabregas, and Mr Eddie Garcia.
Lots of stars coming from the different shows of Coco Martin are also set to take part in the movie such as Agot Isidro, Albert Martinez, John Medina, John Prats, Joonee Gamboa, Michael De Mesa, Phoebe Walker, and Miss International 2016 Kylie Verzosa and Mr. Albert Martinez.
"Ang Panday" was given a modernized twist to its story after the character of Coco Martin as Flavio lives in the modernized era of the 21st century, being the grandson of the original Panday his characters simple and laid back life turned 360 degrees after he discovers that he is the chosen one to defeat the evil Lizardo played by Jake Cuenca whom plans to destroy the world and rule it.
In order for Flavio to fight Lizardo and his evil army, he needs to get the "Balaraw" from the elemental world consisted of fairies, elves, and other mythical creatures. From there Flavio needs to brave all the challenges and sacrifice everything not only for his family but for the world.
