#UAAP80 Day 13: UE ends first round with a win over UST, Tamaraws tramples against Adamson.

The University of the East Red Warriors finally chalked up their first win this season at the expense of teh UST growling Tigers after their grueling battle that ended up at 96-91.
Consistency was the key for the UE in winning this game, taking a 27-20 lead in the opening quarter and doubling their output in the next quarter to end up the first half with a commanding 54-43 lead.
Meanwhile, going to the second half the Growling Tigers started to stage a comeback after outscoring UE to cut the deficit down to 71-75.
In the final period the game went down the wire as UST is within a striking distance and was even able to tie the game at 83, but Alvin Pasaol didn't let the Red Warriors down as he brought them to their first win.
Alvin pasol gives another stellar performance for the Red Warriors after pouring in 32 points and 10 rebounds, Philip Manalang also had his career high 20 points, while Mark Olayon and Jason Varilla added 15 points each.
Steve Akomo's 19 points and 18 rebound performance didn't pushed the Growling Tigers to their first win. Marvin Lee added 20 points, Jordan Sta Ana had 13 points, Enrique Caunan contributed 12 points, and Wendell De Guzman adds up 10.

Inconsistency, that drags the Far Eastern University Down in their match against the Adamson Falcons that ended at 79-95.
The Tamaraws were completely disoriented coming to this game, that gave Adamson the chance to pull away early in the game with a 29-19 lead then finishing the first half at 61-40.
The Soaring Falcons continues to punish the sloppy FEU squad in third period pushing the lead up at 25, the Tamaraws tried to closed in but they were not successful as they struggled to find their rhythm inside the court that gives Adamson the win.
Former Baby Tamaraw, Jerie Pingoy starred in this game after he had his best performance in the collegiate level with 10 points and 10 assists. Jerrick Ahanmisi and Jonathan Espeleta both had 17 points, Papi Sarr added 14 points and 14 rebounds, while Rob Manalang had 11 points.
Jasper Parker led the Tamaraws in this defeat with 12 points, followed by Ron Dennison with 11 markers. FEU finishes the elimination round with a 4-3 record behind Adamson with 5-2.
