Barbie Forteza is all set to conquer a new genre. This July 30, she leads the cast of GMA Pictures' return to the horror genre in P77 (formerly Penthouse 77) the much anticipated psychological thriller movie that blends the mystery, supernaturals, and the emotional traumas locked inside the walls of the penthouse.
In P77, Barbie plays Luna Caceres, a former cruise ship chambermaid that went back to the Philippines only to discover that her mother had gone missing, leaving behind her ailing younger brother. Faced with difficult circumstances and the situation of her brother's worsening condition, Luna is forced to take a job as a cleaner in a luxury high rise condominium in hopes to provide for her family.
But things take a sinister turn when Luna begins to experience strange occurrences from the flickering lights, distorted reflections, and unexplained noises echoing from the unit. As she delves deeper into the secrets buried within the penthouse, the line between her nightmares and reality begins to blur, and the haunting past refuses to remain hidden.
Also starring in P77 are Ms Gina Pareno, Jackie Lou Blanco, Rosanna Roces, JC Alcantara, Carlos Siguio-Reyna, and promising child actor Euwenn Mikaell. The movie is directed by Derrick Cabrido, produced by GMA Pictures, GMA Public Affairs, and Clever Mind Inc., and distributed by Warner Bros. Philippines.
